John Ratterree, II has an AV-rated estate planning practice in Sandy Springs. In addition to wills, probate, trusts, family partnerships, charitable planning vehicles, living wills and health care powers of attorney (for health care or otherwise), he handles various tax, charitable planning and general business matters for a range of clients. Before opening his own firm in 1988, he was associated with two Atlanta law firms. Before that, he was on the in-house staff of a long-distance telephone company, and has worked for an early pharmacy management firm. He holds a 1980 J.D. and a 1988 LL.M (Taxation) from Emory Law School. He took his B.A. with Distinction (History) from the University of Virginia in 1977.
